Broomhill Art Hotel

Hotel Reviews

A unique hotel

“This hotel is unique and a fabulous place to stay why? the hotel is in the most beautiful setting - the food is excellent--the hosts are very friendly and hands on - the gardens are simply amazing with sculptures you will really find exciting - the art displays are first class and our bedroom was just great fabulous view, cosy and clean i also liked all the paintings in the room.

“Also it is in no way over-priced - very reasonable, I think I can honestly say my favourite hotel any where, I also want to keep this hotel to myself but they deserve this write-up. The couple who own it work very hard but make everyone feel special.

“Thank you both for a lovely stay we have stayed before a long time ago the hotel has gone from strength to strength just wish we lived nearer so we could go to the jazz evenings but hope we can make it to some of them and stay a couple of nights.

“The food is also locally sourced they really support local smallholders and young artists who need all the support they can get in these difficult times.”

Quirky and surprising

We were recommended this place by a friend who sang the praises of the food, both at lunch and in the evening. We didn’t eat, we went for the gardens and sculpture. It was magical! You buy your tickets at the hotel reception but if you book a lunchtime special, the gardens are free. The hotel is situated in a valley of trees with a river at the bottom. A perfect place to see large sculptures. The hotel staff were lovely and friendly and the hotel has a wonderful sprawling, study, library feel with big fireplaces. Worth a detour just for a coffee and a few glimpses of the sculptures.

Perfect retreat in the Devon countryside

“We’ve just spent a long weekend at the excellent Broomhill Art hotel. The owners and staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you but are never intrusive. The food was truly amazing (We were on a special weekend deal) and the price of drinks is really reasonable. The setting is stunning and you must spend time wandering around the sculpture gardens - even worth visiting if you are not staying at the hotel. Make sure that you seek out the Mike Roles installation as it is brilliant. Can't think of one negative comment, had a great weekend.”
